Botanical name: Ocimum gratissimum

Perennial basil is a stronger, spicier basil than the familiar sweet one in supermarkets, and lends itself more to Asian cooking rather than salads.

As implied by the name, this grows all-year round, and is very handy to have during winter when looking for some last-minute herbs for a dish. Perfect for stir-fries any time of the year too!

Gorgeous aroma — just brushing past an established plant releases a brilliant and lingering scent.

Fantastic for attracting pollinators, as the bees just love these flowers, which it always seems to have no matter what time of year!

This plant is a strong and vigorous grower, and will grow to a bush about 1 m wide and high.
